What is “Style savvy”?
Style Savvy is a mobile app designed to help users manage and optimize their wardrobe. By allowing users to upload photos of their clothing, the app creates a personalized digital closet that’s easy to navigate. It provides customized outfit suggestions based on weather, calendar events, and location—making it the perfect blend of fashion and convenience.
THE TASK

The impact

APP CREATION/ design process
Research
I began by conducting a competitor analysis to explore similar apps and identify ways to make Style Savvy stand out. This helped me understand industry patterns and avoid common naming trends. From there, I brainstormed name ideas and ultimately landed on “Style Savvy” — a unique, memorable name that reflects the app’s modern and fashion-forward approach.
logo development
For the logo, I wanted to avoid cliché symbols like hangers and focused on more original fashion-related elements. I explored Pinterest for inspiration, sketched out ideas, and brought them into Illustrator—eventually landing on the needle concept as the perfect visual identity for Style Savvy.
Foundation
With the name and logo finalized, I began building the foundation of the app. This included mapping out the IA structure, creating a Race and Technology reading mind map, developing user personas, and sketching wireframes.
EXECUSION
With everything planned out, I moved into Figma to begin designing Style Savvy. I created a custom UI kit to maintain consistency and focused on making the app user-friendly, visually appealing, and uniquely functional. After hours of designing, prototyping, and refining, Style Savvy was complete!
